This quick broccoli casserole is the best idea for when you want a homey dinner with little effort. You won’t even have to do much, but the final product is a delicious meal that will leave you wanting seconds.
For An Easy But Tasty Dinner, Try This Quick Broccoli Casserole
A quick broccoli casserole that everyone will love!
As the name suggests, broccoli is the centerpiece of this meal. You can use fresh broccoli florets or frozen ones. However, if broccoli is not easy for you to find, don’t worry, other options work. You can use whatever vegetables you have at home, like cauliflower, green beans, mushrooms, or asparagus.
Even leftovers can be turned into a tasty casserole. Use that leftover party dish, the stir fry you have in your fridge, or the salad filling you still have handy.
A casserole won’t be anything without cheese, and in this case, cheddar cheese works wonders. Other easy options are Cheez Whiz, Velveeta, canned cheese soup, or a shredded cheese of any kind.
While this dish also calls for the use of canned, condensed cream of mushroom soup, this can be replaced by any cream soup you have. If you don’t have any, use a bit of cream and chopped mushrooms.
As with the cream of soup, the milk is also interchangeable. You can use other dairy products, like sour cream, cream cheese, plain yogurt, or another non-dairy option, like coconut milk.
Finally, everything comes together with the rice. You can make rice from scratch, use the instant kind, or swap it out entirely. This casserole pairs well with egg noodles, quinoa, bulgur wheat, or potatoes.
Remember to season with salt and pepper, but you can add whatever flavors you like. For extra flavor, use the ranch seasoning you have, Italian seasoning, dried rosemary, or garlic powder.
All that’s left to do is baking, and you’ll have a delicious casserole to last you for days, or maybe hours since you’ll want a second serving! Here are more great recipes for you to try.
