Prepare This Spicy Vegetable Combo In A Few Minutes Any Time!
Let’s talk about the stars of the show: the vegetables!
This recipe uses onions, corn kernels, zucchini, squash, bell pepper, spinach, and garlic. While all of these make for a tasty mix, they can be replaced.
Some good substitutes for onions include shallots, a fennel bulb, celery, or chives. Corn kernels can be changed to carrots, peas, water chestnuts, or mushrooms.
On the other hand, bell peppers are crunchier, so a good hard texture such as asparagus or green beans can work. In some cases, even cherry tomatoes work, but make sure the flavor matches the rest.
The garlic in this case is essential for flavoring, but if there isn’t any fresh one, use powdered garlic. In a pinch, add ginger or lemongrass for an added twist.
Finally, the spinach is used at the end for flavor and texture. In this case, you can use kale, slaw, or watercress.
You can flavor this however you choose, but the recipe calls for chili powder, making it a bit spicy. You can use other spices though. Some good options include cumin, curry powder, garlic, and onion powder, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, or red pepper flakes.
Whatever the flavors you pick, this vegetable dish is a great way to get your daily nutrients and eat something tasty too. Add chicken, tuna, salmon, shrimp, or tofu for a quick protein pick-me-up.
There you have it! This spicy vegetable combo is all you need tonight, for lunch, or as a healthy snack. Don’t let your veggies go to waste and use them wisely with this recipe!
