For a quick pick-me-up, these oatmeal snack bites are a perfect choice. You won’t even have to look too far for the ingredients, as most are things you probably already have.
Oatmeal Snack Bites Are The Snack Everyone Needs
Oatmeal snacks for energy and fiber!
Everyone knows oatmeal is a great food that gives you tons of fiber, but it is also a great source of energy. In this recipe, you can use rolled oats, but instant work too, as does quinoa flakes, rice bran, chia seeds, or flaxseed.
For sweetening, honey is the best choice, as it gives your body a boost of sugar, but it is also healthy. However, you can use other choices if you have them already. Some good alternatives include maple syrup, agave syrup, and even brown sugar.
In terms of seasoning, for these snack bites, cinnamon and salt are key, but you can use other spices like nutmeg, vanilla powder, allspice, or almond extract.
Now, you are probably wondering why these bites give you energy. The fruit and nuts are essential in this process, as they are full of fiber, sugar, and protein.
While you can use dried apples, any dried fruit that you handy can work. Good fruits to consider include banana chips, dried apricots, dried berries, or dried nectarines.
As for the nuts, any kind that you like or have at home is good. Almonds, pecans, walnuts, or peanuts are all good options, but make sure you chop them up small.
Finally, the cereal squares make this snack crunchy and sweet. Good cereals to use include oat, corn, or rice, but you can use frosted flakes, granola, or any other kind that you prefer.
Baking all this together will only take a few minutes. The final product, though, is a delicious bite-sized snack that can give you the boost you need at any time of the day.
